March Madness

Here are some photos from last month... for whatever reason, we had a lot going on in March.  We celebrated our 10 year anniversary, Brett went on 2 medical conference trips and a ski weekend with his family, and then we all went to Destin with Grandaddy and Mimi for their spring break.  My mom then came to see us after that!

We went on an overnight date and stayed downtown to celebrate our TEN year anniversary... so crazy!  We went to The Whiskey Room for appetizers and then to L'Amante for dinner.

I love breakfast dates!  Here we are at Magnolia's... and yes, that's kale I'm eating for breakfast.  Vermont is rubbing off on me, because it was delicious.
Here is Brett with his parents and brothers at the Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT.  Ah, the good ole days without those pesky wives and children...

We had a great time in Destin... very relaxing and fun.  Will loved the sand this year, and he even got in the pool!  Taylor is obsessed with making silly faces, so this is how most of our family photos go these days.
The water was freezing, but that didn't stop my little thrill seeker.
We love walking around and eating in the Sandestin village... here we are in a giant adirondack.
Dancing to some live music... so cute.
After a blue ring pop...
More beach time...
Part hugging, part wrestling...
The last night... we took some pics on the beach before going to dinner in the hotel.
Dancing to live piano music at our fancy dinner.
My mom came in town just in time for Easter (and to help with laundry from our trip and clean my house)!  Our church had a special Easter service in a chapel by Lake Champlain.  It was so pretty...
I love the outfits Marms made for the kiddos!
Typical.

Mom and I took the kids to the Vermont Teddy Bear factory for a fun tour.

Buying "Ladybug Sara" bear and dressing her...
I can't handle all of these poses.  Here she is trying on her costume for her tap recital- Good Ship Lollipop.
Sniff, sniff... here is Taylor at Kindergarten orientation.
At orientation, they had a bus there to train the children on how to ride and what to do.  She is thrilled at the idea of getting on a bus by herself to go to school.
Not ready for this!!  It's going to be a long summer.  :)

Disney World

We took Taylor to Disney World last week!  It was such a fun trip, and she was pretty much in heaven the whole time.  She kept giving us spontaneous hugs about every five minutes...  I think she also enjoyed being an only child (thank you to Grammy and Papa for watching Will).  The theme/favorites of the trip was princesses and roller coasters.
Here we are at the airport... Brett surprised Taylor with a Cinderella charm necklace.  Oh, the magic was just beginning!  Ha.
Here she is in the hotel room the first night getting comfy in pjs!  Little did we know that this would be Taylor's pose for the entire trip.  Notice the sweet birthday flowers on the coffee table my hubby had waiting for me in the room.

We were super excited to get to Magic Kingdom on day 1!  A big shout-out to my mom- she found three park hopper tickets that were over 22 years old that still had unused days on them!  They were from a trip we took in 1990.  Anyways, they actually worked and we only had to pay for 1 day for our whole trip!  I wish I had taken a picture of those tickets, because they looked, well, 22 years old.  I also have to give a shout-out to my sister-in-law, Jen.  She has been to Disney twice in the last couple of years, and gave me tons of advice- mainly to read "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World."  I have to admit, I thought she lost her mind to read an 800 page book on Disney World, but it was worth it!  We had a plan and only waited about 7 minutes (if that) for every ride.   Highly recommend that book!  So here is one of our first rides... Peter Pan.
With Tinker Bell
Dumbo!
Her 2nd favorite ride- the Barnstormer roller coaster
I sat this one out.
Her favorite ride was hands-down Thunder Mountain.  We rode it eleven times... literally.  This girl did not get scared of anything... not even Tower of Terror!  Fearless.

My birthday dinner right after the fireworks...
Day 2 started with breakfast with the princesses in Cinderella's castle.
Taylor had all of the characters sign a photo matte... a big highlight for her.

Brett's favorite princess is Jasmine, so Taylor wanted him in the picture.
Being pirates...
More silly faces...

Each day, we would ride the monorail back to the hotel to take a nap and usually a swim.  The pool with the water slide was another highlight for Tay.

On day 3, we went to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.  Here we are on the safari ride.

Toy Story Mania! at Hollywood Studios.
Whew!  Not the most relaxing vacation, but we had so much fun.  Taylor is already asking when we're going back...  I told her when she gets a job.  :)
